While having kids out of school for the summer offers a brief \u2013 but enjoyable \u2013 time for them to get away from the stresses of homework for a few months, they\u2019re not totally out of the woods. They may not have to remember the intricacies of fractions or memorize the preamble to the Declaration of Independence, but there are still some vitally critical things they need to know during this time of freedom.<\/p>\n

Days spent outside are some of the best memories we have, but it\u2019s important to tell your kids about the importance of staying safe around what can be some dangerous pieces of equipment. The same goes for when the sun goes down and they\u2019ve got to come on back inside \u2013 plenty of things indoors can harm them as well. Take a few minutes to let your child know what to look out for, and what not to do around these things that can potentially hurt them.<\/p>\n
